DAY ONE: Masculine cuts
10am-11am: Arrive at the salon to a Caribou coffee - on us! We will jump in to a discussion about consultations, including the language we use during gender affirming services to describe elements of a haircut.
11am-2pm: First up is a classic clipper cut. Let’s get comfortable using clippers, trimmers, and scissors on top. Here we will also develop a deeper understanding of our guards and how to choose the right length to match the desired style.
2pm-3pm: Time for a provided lunch. Take this time to relax before the last half of the day, or ask any questions you have about anything you've learned so far. Your choice.
3pm-6pm: Here we can jump in to more advanced clipper cuts, including skin fades, hard parts, disconnects, and more advanced tools you may not already have in your kit.
6pm-7:30pm: Finally, let’s wrap us the day with long hair with a few tips and tricks on how to give it shape, movement, and keep things masculine.
7:30pm-8pm: Recap the day discussing what you learned and anything you need clarification on.
DAY TWO: Feminine cuts
10am-10:30am: Arrive at the salon to a Caribou coffee - on us! We will check in on any questions you have about the first day of the program.
10:30am-2:30pm: We will start our day with long, layered cuts. Our focus will be on creating a seamless blend by being intentional with every choice we make and using various texturizing techniques and tools, plus all the tips and tricks on different kinds of bangs.
2:30pm-3:30pm: Time for a provided lunch. Take this time to relax before the last half of the day, or ask any questions you have about anything you've learned so far. Your choice.
3:30pm-5:30pm: After lunch we will jump into the world of bobs and how to maintain the fullness in the perimeter for a structured finish while removing enough weight to allow for plenty of movement.
5:30pm-7:30pm: We will finish our day with pixie cuts and all you need to know on how to maintain a feminine shape at very short lengths.
7:30pm-8pm: Recap the day discussing what you learned and anything you need clarification on.
DAY THREE: Advanced cutting techniques
10am-10:30am: Arrive at the salon to a Caribou coffee - on us! We will check in on any questions you have about the second day of the program.
10:30am-1pm: To kick off the our last day, we will learn everything about razor cutting techniques using a mannequin to get comfortable using different tools to create a perfect shatter effect.
1pm-2pm: Time for a provided lunch. Take this time to relax before the last half of the day, or ask any questions you have about anything you've learned so far. Your choice.
2pm-4pm: To build off the morning education, we will continue our day with shags to create a base for so many of the messy cool styles having their moment right now, including wolf cuts, butterfly cuts, and even modern mullets.
4pm-6pm: Last but definitely not least, we will dive into curly cutting techniques to round out your knowledge and better prepare you for real life behind the chair.
6pm-8pm: To end our time together, we will go over any questions you have about the last three days and wrap up with a review of your current social media presence - what you're doing right and what you could do differently.
